Egg in a hole

I love eggs.

I love that they're described as both "incredible" and "edible."

That's right, isn't it?

But the egg needed a friend. A carb, to be more specific.

A whole wheat carb.

That's where this comes in. I adore this breakfast. And you will, too.

Take a piece of whole wheat bread.

Take a cookie cutter.

Any kind.

Any shape.

I like to think outside the box, so I grabbed this shape.

Take out the core.

Butter up a pan over medium high heat.

Throw the heartless bread in there.

Crack an egg right in the middle. Salt and pepper.

After about a minute and a half, flip it over.

I mean, seriously, how good does that look?

Let that side sit for about the same amount of time.

Dig in! This is the fastest, most delicious breakfast you'll ever make. It takes me less time to make this than it does scrambled eggs.

Also, I use the piece of bread that I cut out to soak up the yolk :)

Good times.

XOXOXO,
Rachael
