Fall Simmer

I think what I love most about fall is the smell. The problem is, I can't afford to buy Yankee candles, and I use up about one Walmart candle per week. It gets expensive. Fall smell=unaffordable.

Until now.

I promise you, when my Thanksgiving guests walked into the house, they were ooh-ing and aahh-ing about the scent. It was amazing. It was like a mixture of a Cracker Barrel, a Yankee candle store, an apple orchard, and, well, heaven.

And, it was cheap.

Ingredients:
  • 1 apple
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Water

Directions:
  • Cut the apple into slices
  • Fill a small pot with water and add all ingredients, including apple slices
  • Simmer on medium/low heat, adding more water as it evaporates.
  • Enjoy!

Mine lasted the whole day, and so can yours!

Love,
