Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love sugar just as much as the next girl, but works cannot even describe my love affair with brown sugar. It's dark. It's rich. It makes me feel good. It's pretty much the perfect life partner.

Am I right, or am I right?

Ingredients:
  • 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 rounded cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

Throw the butter in a bowl.

Add the brown sugar.

Now the baking soda and the salt. Every sweet needs a little salty. Mix until creamy.

Add the eggs one at a time, continuing to mix.

Add the flour and mix.

Mmmmmm...vanilla. Throw that in there and mix some more.

Buy the good stuff. It's worth the extra $.32.

Now throw a whole cup in there. That's right. A whole cup of good, quality chocolate. Using a wooden spoon, fold mixture together.

While there's nothing wrong with large cookies, these are super-rich, so we want them to be more bite-sized. These pieces of dough were about the size of a ping pong ball. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Come.to.mamma.

Love and brown sugar,
