As a fall-fanatic, I always greatly anticipate Fall for Greenville. It's one of my favorite things about living in this city. Fall For Greenville is a market-type event on Main Street that takes place one weekend during the fall. Vendors line the streets with adorable fall-decorated tents and sell their prized foods to the masses. It's the perfect event for both locals and tourists.
And California-raised, non-Southern, food-blogging girls in tights. I'm sure there were a ton of us in the crowd.
Every year, Tim and I show up and convince ourselves we're just there to "mingle" and enjoy the sites. And every year, we lie to ourselves. It makes it easier to lie because they have a ticket-based money system, kinda' like Chuck-E-Cheese. You buys the tickets, and the vendors only take tickets as payment. So the whole time, you're thinking, "6 tickets for a burger? 3 for a cupcake? No biggie! It's just paper tickets!"
Oops.
Fall for Greenville is also an excellent place to grow your patience. We went on both Friday night and Saturday afternoon, and on Friday evening, after a loooong day of work, I was practically body-checking old women. It wasn't my finest hour. And there are a lot of people there.

Now granted, I do love Iced. They are located right across the street from our house, and we got their red velvet cupcakes for Tim's birthday party this year, which were to die for. This time, I got their S'mores Cupcake, which was perfect for the cool fall weather. They're super-affordable and their cupcakes are decorated like those top-notch cupcake shoppes you see in place like L.A. and New York. I highly recommend them if you're needing something sweet!

| Grille 33 |
Grille 33. We love Grille 33 (which moonlights as The Channel, a music venue that Tim has played at countless times). They're what we in the South call "good people." And man, can they cook. They had the specialty of the day (I'll let you guess which one off this list is the most popular and unique item):
- The Stone Avenue Doughnut Burger
- The Washington Avenue Pimento Cheese Bacon Burger
- The Bad Dawg
- Sweet Potato Fries
- Fried Pickles
- Peach Sweet Tea
Okay, if you didn't guess it by now, it's the Stone Avenue Doughnut Burger, also known as the Krispy Kreme donut. It's a meat patty, covered in cheese, and instead of a bun, it's surrounded by two Krispy Kreme glazed donuts.
I almost vomitted, too.
But you know what? The guys loved it. That guy on the bottom left is Zac, who's married to Tim's cousin, Lauren. He demolished it (his words, not mine). So even if you're not a fan of weird sugar-covered donuts, drop by Grille 33 for great service and incredible down-home cookin'.

Roost. This place primarily offered Korean fried chicken. From the minute we got to FFG, this was THE place to eat. Their chicken wings were delicious, and as you can see, Tim was licking the bone. I had never heard of this place before, but their lines were always long, so I take that as a good sign. Their menu consisted of the following items:
- Korean Fried Chicken
- Bacon & Caramelized Onion Tater Tots
- Loaded Tater Tots
- House Made Sweet Peach Arnold Palmer’s
- Red Velvet Whoopie Pies
So white I can't vouch for anything else on the menu, I can say that their wings were well-received by the man of the house.

Soby's New South Cuisine. Soby's is a great restaurant downtown that's what I like to call fancy-schmancy. We've only been a few times, but it never ever disappoints. It's a special place with special food in a special location. Here are the items they offered at FFG:
- Soby's Crab Cakes
- Lobster Mac & Cheese
- Braised Beef Short Ribs w/ Cheerwine BBQ Sauce & Jalapeno Slaw
- Pimento Cheese w/ Crackers
- Vanilla Bean Cheesecake
Tim and I shared the cheesecake (seen above), and Lauren and Zac had the crab cakes and lobster mac & cheese (and said it was fantastic). Like I said...they never disappoint.

Kettlecorn Confections. I can't find an actual location for this vendor, so if you happen to know, please leave a comment! This place is absolutely amazing, and they don't just sell kettlecorn! Here's their stuff:

- Carmel Apples
- Fresh Squeezed Lemonade
The girl was so nice, she let us take a brand new, super-hot bag of kettlecorn even though there were bags of popcorn right there. Maybe she knew I had a blog and would write about her. Or maybe she's just sweet, which is possible in a place like Greenville. Okay, moving on.

| Luna Rosa Gelato Cafe' |
Luna Rosa Gelato Cafe'. Who doesn't love gelato? Or, as my husband affectionately refers to it, gelati. He also pronounces the "L" in salmon. It's cute. Kinda.
Anyway, we never really have ice cream or gelato, so this was a big treat. The service was quick and friendly, and perfect for the second half of our visit, when it got a little warmer. Here are their flavors:

- Mom's Sweet Tea
- Mom's Unsweet Tea
We chose the birthday cake flavor, and Lauren and Zac got chocolate. Both flavors were out of this world!

Click here for a list of all the vendors. We didn't go to some of our favorites, like Coffee Underground and Sticky Fingers because we go there all the time. We wanted to try something different. If you do decide to go to FFG, remember that all parking and tickets only take cash. Don't bring your debit card. Or your AMEX. Or your first born. They won't take it.
Tip: If you have one ticket left, you can convince the sweet lady at the Wild Wing Cafe booth to give you one corn dog pup. Just FYI.
