Crunchwrap Supreme

Hi, my name is Rachael, and I'm a Taco Bell addict.

This addiction can seem harmless and minimal at times; however, my quickly-approaching-thirty-year-old body can't quite keep up anymore. Whenever I go to Taco Bell, I get sick. I'm too old for that stuff.

So I decided to make a copy-cat recipe of their Crunchwrap Supreme. To be honest, I've never had one before, but Tim swore by them before he lost the 90 lbs., so I thought it was worth a shot. Holy moly. It was amazing. And I'm not a huge ground beef fan. We will definitely be making these again.

I know that the right thing to do would to be to write more, but Judah is finally asleep, and this mamma needs a nap. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
  • Large tortillas
  • Small tostada shells or regular hard taco shells
  • Ground beef
  • Taco seasoning
  • Mexican cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Queso
  • Cooking oil

Directions:

Cook the ground beef with the taco seasoning.

Pour some cooking oil into a pan and turn heat to high.

On a separate plate, start the layering. Start with the large tortilla.

Spread some queso.

Add some ground beef.

Add the tostada shells or, in my case, break a regular taco shell in half and layer.

Add another layer of beef and taco shell, and top off with sour cream.

Add lettuce.

Sprinkle on some Mexican cheese.

I wrapped it up but realized I had so much filling I had to flip it and add another tortilla. I didn't use any crazy method...I just folded it up so that everything stayed inside.

Flip open side down in the pan with the cooking oil. Let cook for a few minute, lifting up the edge and checking occasionally until browned.

Flip and brown the other side.

Holy yumm.

This was really amazing and surprisingly filling. I can eat with the best of 'em, and one of these was more than I could handle.

Love and no-mo-Taco-Bell,
